Remote Working Retreat
Fuerteventura
Day 1
Your Fuerteventura adventure begins as you arrive on this beautiful island. We'll pick up our rental cars at the Airport, providing us with the freedom to explore the island at our own pace throughout the week. After checking into our spacious villa, you'll have free time to settle in and perhaps take a stroll around Corralejo.
In the evening, we'll gather for a welcome dinner in Corralejo, where you'll meet your fellow remote workers and get excited about the week ahead.
Day 2
After breakfast, we'll embark on a half-day catamaran cruise to Isla Lobos, a small, uninhabited island off the coast of Fuerteventura. The trip includes a delicious paella lunch and opportunities for snorkeling, stand-up paddleboarding, and kayaking in the crystal-clear waters around the island. Keep an eye out for the diverse marine life and perhaps even the monk seals that gave the island its name.
In the afternoon, we'll set out to explore the stunning Corralejo Natural Park, home to vast expanses of sahara-like sand dunes. We'll wander through its famous dunes and visit beautiful beaches like Playa Del Moro and Playa Alzada, known for their pristine white sand and turquoise waters.
Day 3
Today marks the start of our work week. After breakfast, you'll have time to set up your workspace and begin your workday, with the beautiful Fuerteventura landscape as your backdrop.
In the late afternoon, we'll visit the historic town of Betancuria, the former capital of Fuerteventura known for its well-preserved colonial architecture and rich history. We'll have dinner here, sampling more of the island's culinary delights. As night falls, we'll drive to Mirador de Sicasumbre, a viewpoint offering panoramic views of the island, for an unforgettable stargazing experience under Fuerteventura's clear skies. The island's low light pollution makes it an ideal spot for observing the night sky.
Days 4-7
For the next four days, we'll settle into a rhythm of remote work and island exploration. Mornings will typically start with breakfast followed by work time, allowing you to stay connected with your professional commitments.
Before or after work hours, you'll have the opportunity to engage in various activities such as yoga sessions, surf lessons, or visits to unique locations. You might explore Popcorn Beach, famous for its coral fragments that resemble popcorn, or Aguas Verdes, known for its natural pools and volcanic landscape. The Ajuy Caves, with their dramatic seaside cliffs and geological importance, offer another fascinating excursion. These flexible arrangements allow you to balance work commitments with island adventures, ensuring you make the most of your time in Fuerteventura.
Day 8
On our final day, we'll check out from the villa after breakfast. Depending on your flight time, you might have some free time for last-minute shopping in Corralejo's boutiques or a final stroll on one of the nearby beaches.
As the adventure comes to an end, we'll drop off our rental cars at the airport. You'll depart with memories of productive work days, stunning landscapes, and new friendships forged in this island paradise. The unique experience of balancing work and exploration in Fuerteventura will surely leave you refreshed and inspired.
