Brazil
Day 1
Start your Brazilian adventure with an early morning arrival in Rio. After checking in at your beachfront hotel in Ipanema, take some time to rest and acclimate. Your first taste of Rio begins at the magnificent Botanical Garden, a stunning 340-acre park home to more than 6,500 species and towering imperial palm trees. Next, discover the famous Selaron Steps, a colorful mosaic stairway that has become one of Rio's most distinctive landmarks, decorated with tiles from over 60 countries. End your afternoon exploring the charming Santa Teresa neighborhood, a bohemian district known for its winding streets, artistic atmosphere, and spectacular views over the city. For football fans, we can arrange an optional evening visit to the legendary Maracanã Stadium if there's a game scheduled - there's nothing quite like experiencing Brazilian football passion firsthand!
Day 2
Rise early to beat the crowds at Rio's most famous landmark, Christ the Redeemer. Standing 98 feet tall atop Corcovado Mountain, this Art Deco masterpiece offers breathtaking 360-degree views over the city, beaches, and mountains. While the morning light is perfect for photos, the early start helps avoid the midday crowds. Continue your day in Tijuca National Park, the world's largest urban forest and a green oasis in the heart of Rio. Here, you'll hike through lush Atlantic rainforest, discovering hidden waterfalls and spotting local wildlife. As night falls, immerse yourself in Brazilian culture with an authentic samba experience at a traditional gafieira (dance hall), where locals gather to dance and celebrate - don't worry if you don't know the steps, the welcoming atmosphere makes it easy to join in!
Day 3
Start your day experiencing the famous Carioca beach culture at Ipanema Beach, one of the world's most iconic stretches of sand. Watch locals playing volleyball and football, try the refreshing coconut water, and take in the vibrant atmosphere that makes Rio's beaches so special. Walk along the shoreline to reach Copacabana Beach, passing by the historic Copacabana Fort with its interesting military museum and spectacular views of the bay. As the day winds down, head to Sugar Loaf Mountain for what many consider Rio's most spectacular experience: watching the sunset from the cable car or summit. As the city lights begin to twinkle and the sun dips behind the mountains, you'll understand why Rio is called the 'Marvelous City'.
Day 4
Begin your transition to Brazil's kitesurfing haven with a morning flight from Rio to Fortaleza, followed by a scenic transfer to the beautiful village of Guriú, located near Jericoacoara. This area will be your home for the next five days. After checking into your charming beachfront pousada, meet our local kite team for equipment fitting (if needed) and a briefing about the spot's conditions. The rest of the afternoon is yours to settle in, explore the tranquil village, stroll along the beach, or perhaps even get a quick first taste of the wind. In the evening, enjoy a relaxed dinner as we look forward to the upcoming kite sessions.
Days 5-8
Spend four full days immersed in the fantastic kitesurfing conditions around Guriú and Jericoacoara. Each morning starts with a delicious breakfast before hitting the water. Guriú itself offers excellent, versatile conditions suitable for all skill levels, with flat water areas perfect for learning and freestyle. You can launch right from the village or explore nearby spots. Join organized downwinders along the stunning coastline, perhaps heading towards Preá, which also offers great wave riding opportunities for intermediate and advanced riders.
Beyond kiting, take time to explore the magic of Jericoacoara. We'll organize trips to this unique village with its sandy streets, vibrant shops, and lively restaurants. Experience the famous sunset from the 'Duna do Pôr do Sol' – a must-do ritual. Enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of Guriú in the evenings, sampling fresh local cuisine and sharing stories with fellow travellers.
Day 9
Enjoy a final morning kite session in the beautiful surroundings of Guriú, making the most of the excellent conditions. After lunch and packing up, we'll begin our transfer south along the coast towards Cumbuco. This journey offers glimpses of the diverse landscapes of Ceará state. Arrive in Cumbuco in the late afternoon and check into your beachfront accommodation. Take the evening to settle in, walk along Cumbuco's famous beach, and perhaps discover a local restaurant for dinner.
Days 10-13
Experience four full days in Cumbuco, a world-renowned kitesurfing destination. After breakfast each day, choose your adventure: head to the famous Cauipe Lagoon for butter-flat water, ideal for beginners learning the basics or advanced riders perfecting freestyle tricks, or hit the ocean directly in front of the village for fun wave riding in reliable side-onshore winds. Our team can help arrange lessons or coaching if you want to progress your skills in either kitesurfing, windsurfing, or wing foiling.
When you need a break from the water, Cumbuco offers other activities. Take an exhilarating buggy tour across the vast sand dunes, explore nearby beaches, or simply relax with a refreshing drink at one of the many beach bars ('barracas'). In the evenings, enjoy the lively but relaxed atmosphere of the village, which offers a great variety of restaurants and bars.
Day 14
Enjoy a final Brazilian breakfast at your hotel in Cumbuco. Depending on your flight schedule, you might have time for some last-minute souvenir shopping or a final walk on the beach. Afterwards, we will transfer you to Fortaleza Airport (FOR) for your departure flight. Head home filled with incredible memories of Rio's energy, the amazing kitesurfing in Guriú and Cumbuco, stunning landscapes, and the warm Brazilian hospitality.
